Maturity level One of the most obvious misconceptions that we have heard is that once you earn a certification, your efforts are complete. We believe any of the quality or process maturity certifications that are obtained at EPAM only mean that we should work harder. Maintaining a CMMI Level 4 operation requires constant education and self-evaluation and improvement. Assuring that everyone across the distributed team is knowledgeable in a particular methodology takes hard work. These efforts are certainly reflected in the quality that is obtained and the minimal defect rate that our clients experience.
